It is a dream come true to Judy Benitez who as been auditioning for Tawag Ng Tanghalan for many years from Misamis Oriental.

The seventh season of Philippine amateur singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan, titled Tawag ng Tanghalan: Ikapitong Taon, was an amateur singing competition airing as a segment of the noontime variety television show It's Showtime. The season premiered on July 3, 2023. This is the first regular season to air on GTV.

The season was concluded on January 27, 2024, making it the second shortest regular season, following the fifth season. Rea Gen Villareal ended up winning, while Eunice Encarnada became the runner-up.

Judy Lou Benitez was defeated in the finals by Aboodi Yandog​ of Suquijor.

Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines - November 10, 2023: A Palawan-based young band named "Bandang Polo" releases their debut single Sapat Na under Mabuhay Music Group record label making them the first band/group artist under the Mabuhay Music Group record label.

Their single entitled "Sapat Na" is an alternative rock song that is about an unexpressed feelings and emotions of a young boy, about high school ages, to his admired classmate. This young boy is a nerd or studio type of student that prioritizes his academics over his emotions. So for him, as for now, it is enough to have at least a glimpse of his crush. It’ll be enough for now the small engagement they have through social media. This is a song of unconfessed feelings.

Bandang Polo is composed of Angelo Clint John Sanico, Romar Escasa, Kevin Florentino, Paul Libres, and Jeo Pintuan, who first met and played together as members of the school band at San Jose National High School.

Through this release, Bandang Polo wants to encourage the youth nowadays to prioritize their studies, family, dreams, and passion over their emotions. 

Soon after their debut release, Bandang Polo has been featured by Palawan News and other local media outlets. 

"It is an exciting time for this group of very young students and also an exciting time for our record label. There are currently a lot of progress going on. Not only we have released our first band music, we also are making good progress in our music promotions, playlisting strategies, among other things. We have many more music to release next year. We have also recently signed a contract with Believe Music who will become Mabuhay Music Group's distributor. We are really working towards giving our audience great music that will resonate with them, songs that will inspire them, and sometimes make them laugh or sometimes cry.", says Jolito Dumadag, president of Mabuhay Music Group.

First, as a singer, songwriter and a band vocalist, Judy Benitez dreamed for this moment. Previously, she auditioned 3 times but never got a call from the producers. Finally, she makes it to this competition and takes the golden microphone. For those who are close to Judy Lou, they know that she will defend this golden microphone as best she can and as long as she can. As of the date of this publication, Judy Benitez has won 2 face-off rounds and has defended the golden microphone twice.

​Second, this is by far the biggest opportunity for Judy to showcase her talents and skills nationally. It is an opportunity to get discovered by fans. ​I am an emerging versatile singer from the southern region of the Philippines. I discovered my love for music at a young age and I expressed them by joining in different Songwriting and Singing competitions. 

I am a lover of pop rock and soul types of music. My debut single entitled "I Am A Possibility" showcases my passion and a little bit of my style as a musician. It also inspires me to continue to step up and always create that possibility and continue to reach for that dream.
